TrustPoint was initially called to investigate a moisture in concern in this family’s newly built home.

Upon arrival, it was clear that many other substantial deficiencies existed in the home. Permit research uncovered that the home did not have most of it’s required inspections; nor any final inspections.

The report documented numerous code violations, structural deficiencies and safety hazards with the potential of causing life threatening injury to the occupants.

Unfortunately, this is a very common occurrence in our region and also a perfect example of the importance of why final certificates of occupancy are critical the safety of occupants.

The documentation helped the family negotiate a buy-back with the builder; which is a very uncommon result.
